Dj G Boogie - Spaceboy Musik is one of the true heads of house musik representing to the fullest..... Originally from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, I started to travel to New York City quite a young age so i got to know alot of people by just visiting on holidays and spending my nights recording the likes of some of New York City's finest Dj's such as Frankie Knuckles, Tony Humphries, John Robinson and kats like that. Deep House. What is Deep House? Deep House is another music that was created within America that is some where between Garage and House music. A style of House music that many will call laidback and groove heavy, rather than happy sounding like Garage House music. Deep House's spirtual home is Chicago, where the crime rate, depression, high unemployment rates is reflected in some respects within the sound. So much so that some call it moody garage. However, it is best identified by its production, which relies on the deep rolling basslines and the use of real vocals rahter than samples. Some say true Deep House is best listened to rather than dancing to...... You may disagree or not. That's up to you! Larry Heard from Fingers Inc is regarded as the godfathers of this style of music. Others that can take credit for the creation of this music are Marshall Jefferson and again Frankie Knuckles These dj's have inspired a world wide movement which now sees djs from nations such as France, Germany and Switzerland noting their aspirations to Larry Heard especially. St Germain, Shazz, even Dj's within the states bote his contribution such as DeepDish, Roger Sanchez, etc The music often said to be fiinished always seems to come back, time and time again! Its because of those wicked, deep basslines, and melodic, yet atmospheric jazz chords that you always find with this style of music, that will see that this music hasn't passed its sell by date yet! | ||||||||||||||||

So one day we decided lets start doing our own thing, when i got a mysterious call from Don Sergio from DS Entertainment which did Parties at The Tunnel, They had called to request my services as far as promotions and general fresh ideas, once i figued out what the Tunnel was i was shocked, so obviously i took the job starting a week later, to my surprise on one of the first few nights i was sent out to check out some of the other clubs which were owned by the same kat, The Palladium, and The Limeligt, which were all owned by Peter Gatien, & (I got to finally meet Jr. Vasquez who i really didn't care for as well). I was hooked on the Club Vinyl Scene, late night blunt smoked room with some of the finest, sisters, spanish, & latinos, women that i had ever experienced at one time ! with Little Louie Vega, Francois K, and Danny Kravitz & guests tore it up as well as Strech Armstrong & Bobito ripped it up in the back with Hip- Hop. Like all good things, stuff comes to an end, yes that's right the Tunnel was radied one day and it really scared the shit out of me as i was there about 5 minutes after the place was raided all happy and ready to go to work like i normally do from 3pm to 11 and back to the club that night. Luckly I had just finished a meeting a couple days prior to this with this Englich chick from Dovetail Promotions who was looking for something new so I called her and she had mentioned that she had just scored a location to do parties so I was back in action, so we met up earlier that week and discussed the plan .... The party would be at The Buddah Bar, one of New York Cities well known bars back in the day just up the street from S.O.B.'s. The first night we had african dancers who came out to support this new venue and put on a live performance, I knew this was a begining to something good, eventually i had a regular wedensday gig now as well as playing at the Bank (alphabet city) and also playing at the Re-Bar where i had my 1st Spaceboy Musik Party with Rikki Rivera (formely of Nell's). | |||||||||||||||||
